The responses from the survey highlighted the different contexts of use and expectations from interacting with the festival. Recurring themes in the data — in particular user needs, behaviours and pain points were mapped. Regular attendees of the festival indicated an interest in managing selected event schedules and ticket tracking. These users were most comfortable using mobile apps for this purpose. A second type of user was uncovered. People interested in sponsoring the festival showed a preference for using a desktop website and calling the organisers via phone.

These exercises formed a great foundation to move into feature ideation and prioritisation.
